These systems are the tradition method of installing the alarm system using hardwired equipment.  The system comprises of a main control unit, often with the facility of a remote keypad which can be sited away from the main unit, to set and unset the system.  Each device, including the external bell box, is connected to the control unit via a suitably sized cable to comply with the European standards and feeding the relevant Zone, Tamper and power circuits where applicable. The system is set and unset using the onboard keypad or remote keypad, (depending on which model has been purchased.)  The mains supply to the control unit is fed via a fused spur unit to meet the relevant electrical wiring regulations currently in force.

The Wirefree system that J S Security & Electrical use does not require cables to any of the devices or the external bell box. The only cable required is the mains supply to the control unit, which is fed via an unswitched fused spur unit to meet the relevant electrical wiring regulations currently in force. The system is set and unset either by the on board keypad using a four digit code or via wireless remote key fobs supplied with the system.
