There are several types of camera available for our CCTV systems.
Internal Dome Cameras
Mini Dome Cameras are best suited to discreet internal surveillance and are more favoured in commercial installations, (I.e. Shops, bars etc.) Unlike bullet cameras, Internal Domes don’t usually have Infra Red LED’s built in and usually rely on extra lighting sources to illuminate the area being monitored.
External Vandal Resistant Dome Cameras
Similar in appearance to the Mini Dome camera, but differ in that they are slightly larger, IP rated therefore best suited to external applications or areas of increased possibility of attack. Vandal Resistant cameras are available with Infra Red LED’s and a ‘sens-up’ facility to enable a clear picture in almost total dark areas.
External Camera Packages
This type of camera offers the greatest flexibility of all camera types. Specific lens’ are calculated and fitted to create a unique package that is best suited to the area of coverage. External housings are IP rated and available with automatic heaters to eliminate any frost forming on the lens of the camera. External lighting can usually be installed onto the exterior body of the housing for dark areas.
360 Degree Dome Cameras (PTZ)
360 degree domes are best suited to security systems that are monitored 24 hours a day. They are controlled via a dedicated control keyboard which the user has full control of. They usually have a zoom facility making it perfect for external application at an increased height, or internal at a central position, (I.e. A warehouse)
Please note, most camera images revert to monochrome at night.
